The surveys on which this report is based were administered to persons aged 18 years of age and
over who were residents of private households in Australia. The national survey comprised 2000 Australians stratified by geographic location. The local area surveys included Australia-born and ethnic and cultural groups most frequently singled out as targets of animosity
